Arapu started DJing at 15 and became one of the key names pushing the Romanian minimal sound forward. In 2015, he started his own label Liniar, giving that sound a place of its own. Natalia Roth grew up in Puerto Rico, where electronic music wasn’t exactly everywhere. Maybe that’s why it stuck. She started Melódie there in 2017, first as a party, now also as a label.
