Their interactions with remnant crustal magnetic fields of varying strength and inclination, mainly in the southern hemisphere, further complicate ionospheric dynamics. We exploit observations from the Mars Advanced Radar for Subsurface and Ionosphere Sounding (MARSIS) on Mars Express.
