St Barbara's Church stands right beside St Mary's Basilica on the Small Market Square and is considered one of the most picturesque corners of old Kraków. Dating back to a 1338 document, it began as a cemetery chapel founded by burgher Mikołaj Wierzynek and was enlarged around 1394-1402, possibly funded by Queen Jadwiga.
