When we pursue what matters to us, we sometimes don’t accomplish what we hoped for—and we experience it as failure. We apply for a job and get rejected, start a project that leads us nowhere, try to change a habit and return to our old ways, pursue a relationship that doesn’t work, or simply put a lot of effort into something without getting the result we wanted. But **what exactly makes something a failure?** The same outcome might feel like a serious failure to one person, a useful learning experience to another, and simply an expected setback to someone else. We also receive conflicting messages about how we should respond. *Never give up.* *Learn from your mistakes.* *Failure makes you stronger.* *Know when to quit.* Sometimes persistence pays off. Sometimes we need to change our approach. And sometimes moving on might be the best response. So, **what does failure mean to us, and how can we deal with it when things don’t go as we hoped?** In this discussion, we'll explore questions such as: 1. What do we mean when we say that we have “failed”? 2. Why do some failures affect us much more than others? 3. How do we deal with disappointment, rejection, mistakes, and bad results? 4. What can we learn from failure—and are there times when there is little to learn? 5. How do we decide whether to try again, change our approach, or move on? 6. Can our relationship with failure change over time? This is an **open group discussion, not an expert talk or workshop**. The idea is to exchange experiences, questions, and perspectives and see what we can learn from one another. No preparation is required. Come ready to share, listen, and explore the topic together. We will also have time to talk about ourselves and brainstorm ideas for future meetups. See you soon. Ángel
