SUMMARY:La Roux
DESCRIPTION:She’s the Grammy-winning producer\, songwriter\, and perfor
mer who has worked with Tyler\, The Creator\, CASISDEAD\, Skream and Skr
illex and sold millions of records across the globe.\nYet\, judging by h
er new work\, the best is yet to come for La Roux who returns with a fie
rcely redemptive fourth record that overturns expectations of both the a
rtist and her sound. Old Flames is an emotionally expansive reckoning th
at moves through rebirth and renewal\, doubt and acceptance\, pulsing wi
th longing and desire\, isolation\, tenderness and devastation. It’s a
n immediate and intimate record that sinks inside the skin from the firs
 t listen.\nIt is\, says the South Londoner with a grin\, her “phoenix
rising from the ashes” moment. A new era\, a new perspective. It’s a
brilliant\, imaginative\, cinematic record whose references include Dav
id Lynch and Donnie Darko\, All Saints and Mariah Carey alongside her je
