smallforms is a platform and music label for contemporary and experimental forms of music based in Vienna. smallforms seeks to support musicians whose music requires an attitude of listening. The monthly concert series takes place in cooperation with the art space Chateau Rouge (Meidling) run by performer and artist Elisabeth Bakambamba Tambwe and consists of recording sessions in the afternoon and public live sets in the evening – joining forces with electronic allies, spoken word, spinning tunes or sweet stuff of pop culture that may lead to the underworld (or hell). smallforms was founded by musician and sound engineer Gustavo Petek in 2016. Since 2018 Alisa Beck is part of the artistic team. While Petek is responsible for label and recordings, the annual programme and cooperations are developed together.
