The Kresz Géza Ambulance Museum is housed in the historic 1890 neo-Renaissance Ambulance Palace on Markó utca and tells the story of Hungarian ambulance services and first aid, from the era of barber-surgeons to the world's first rapid-response ambulance cars. Its exhibitions span the palace's first floor, cellar system and courtyard, including a permanent 1956 display in the former cellar hospital, plus historic ambulance vehicles and hands-on first-aid activities for visitors.
