The Schüttkasten Essling is one of Austria's largest surviving grain storehouses and a listed historic building, set among old farm structures, trees and meadows in Essling. It also houses an outpost of the Bezirksmuseum Donaustadt, featuring a 16-square-metre diorama with 8,546 figures, related to the nearby Battle of Aspern where Napoleon was defeated in 1809; visits are by prior appointment.
