Kirchenacker

Kirchenacker is a self-harvest garden field in Vienna's Unterlaa district, opposite the Johanneskirche, where you can rent one of three sizes of vegetable plots for a season. The organic-farmed rows are prepared, sown and irrigated by the operators, and you simply tend and harvest crops like tomatoes, carrots, beans and peas; a children's playground sits right next to the field.
