Vienna's First Queer Comedy Club - hosted by Denice Bourbon - is back at WUK! Mother Earth, Mother Nature, Mother Ship, Mother Tongue, Mother Country, The Divine Mother. Mother stands for comfort. But at the same time: Mother is overbearing. Stepmothers and Mothers-in-Law are monsters. Mothers love too much, Mothers love too little. Throughout the history of comedy, ‘The Mother’ has far too often been put in a box where she’s the root to the trauma, the one who kills the fun and “I hope my mother doesn’t see this!” - jokes. As well as “My Mother is such a goddamn Saint she doesn’t even have a name!" The Performers from PCCC* might bring you “Bad Mom Stories” as well, but at least they will be rooted in a place where The Mother is a real person and not just a two dimensional cartoon.
