What happens when two bodies must share the same space? In the dance performance Performance D, choreographer and dancer Fatou Cissé explores how people relate to one another on shared and sometimes contested ground. In Performance D, two dancers meet in a physical dialogue in which attraction and resistance, vulnerability and power constantly shift. Showing at Flemish Cultural Centre de Brakke Grond. What happens when two bodies have to share the same space On stage, the space between the dancers is a place of tension and negotiation. Who takes up the space? Who sets the rules? Where does connection emerge? Through her expressive body language, Cissé makes palpable how living together demands attunement, friction, and surrender. Performance D is confronting and vulnerable at the same time: a performance about the complex dynamics of existing together.
