A three-part cross-cultural performance RASA is a three-part cross-cultural performance that weaves together the expressive worlds of Kathak and Fado, drawing from the ancient Indian philosophy that art exists to evoke profound emotional states. Together, both traditions embark on a shared journey through key Rasas —tracing a narrative arc that moves fluidly through beauty, intense joy , sorrow, conflict, and peace. Through intricate gestures and rhythmic footwork, Kathak’s rich storytelling interacts directly with the deep-seated saudade of Fado, creating a vibrant dialogue where two distinct heritages embrace one another across tradition, geography, and time .
