The London premiere and launch of Glasgow based saxophonist and composer Matt Carmichael’s new album Held in the Dark. This is their strongest to date and moves into a more guitar-textured space, evolving their emotive Scottish Folk-Jazz sound with more indie influences, reflecting a personal journey of supporting a loved one and holding on to hope. Aesthetically somewhere between Big Thief, John Coltrane and The Gloaming. EFG London Jazz Festival 2026 (2026-11-17 · stage time 19:30 · doors 19:00). Tickets: £27.50 incl. fees.
