Family tour: Tomás Saraceno in collaboration. Entangled Worlds

Guided tours, children & families Ostgalerie In our family tours, the children take center stage. Instead of a classic guided tour, we look forward to a lively exchange about the questions that Tomás Saraceno raises with his artworks. For this exhibition, the artist created a special work together with people from northern Argentina. There, there are huge white salt flats that look like a mirror. Beneath the ground lies lithium, an important raw material for mobile phone batteries and electric cars. But when the lithium is mined, the water that is vital for people and animals suffers. Saraceno’s artwork tells this story and makes the struggle of the residents visible – even beyond the walls of the museum. Another project is called Museo Aero Solar. It is a huge balloon made of used plastic bags that can fly completely without petrol or batteries – only through the warmth of the sun and the air! Tomás dreams that one day we will be able to move around like this without dirtying the Earth. And many more works await you in the exhibition… The group size is limited to a maximum of 20 participants. We recommend buying the guided tour ticket online in advance.
