About
MUCHO – Munich Chocolate Festival New in Munich: Munich gets its first chocolate festival On 24 + 25 October 2026, the crème de la crème of the international craft chocolate scene will gather at Munich's first chocolate festival, called MUCHO – Munich Chocolate Festival at Pineapple Park. To mark the 25th anniversary of HOUSE OF CACAO MUNICH, the founders Marita and Christine Luger, together with MIDNIGHTBAZAR, are presenting high-quality tree-to-bar and bean-to-bar chocolates. One time all the way around the equator from Ecuador via Peru, Hawaii, Uganda, Madagascar, Thailand and Indonesia. MUCHO – Munich Chocolate Festival invites visitors on a journey through the world of fine cocoa. Here, everyone can immerse themselves in the cosmos of artisan chocolates in discussions, talks, films and tastings, meet cocoa and chocolate producers personally, and sample and buy their products directly. At MUCHO, cocoa farmers from Peru and Venezuela will even be present, presenting their own chocolates and available directly to answer all visitors' questions. You can only be closer to the source in the country of cultivation. Today, her daughter, Marita Luger, runs the business. The two women's passion for truly good chocolate remains undiminished, but now it begins with the cocoa itself. The small shop can long since no longer provide a stage for all the chocolate stars – unlike MUCHO – Munich Chocolate Festival. On 24 and 25 October 2026, the two women will fulfil a dream and celebrate their 25th anniversary together with 50 exhibitors, including cocoa farmers and craft chocolate makers from all over the world, and invite all chocolate lovers to this special event. Already confirmed chocolatiers include ZOTTER from Austria, MANOA from Hawaii, PACCARI from Ecuador, PARADAÌ from Thailand, CHOKLAD ZIMMER, CHOCO DEL SOL, POTT AU CHOCOLAT and JAKAO from Germany, as well as DJOON from Munich with their handmade date pralines. The planned pairings, in which chocolate is tasted together with wine, beer, bread, cheese and much more, take place in cooperation with Munich manufacturers and specialist shops.
