Join us at Deutsche Bank's Berlin Technology Centre for an evening of hands-on learning with GitHub Copilot and agent-driven development, led by GitHub Developer Relations Engineer Sandra Ahlgrimm.** This event is hosted by Deutsche Bank's Berlin Technology Centre in cooperation with the JUG Berlin-Brandenburg and JCON, bringing together developers, technology enthusiasts, and members of the local software engineering community for a practical, workshop-focused experience. **Agenda of the evening:** **18:00 Doors open** **18:30 — Welcome and introduction to GitHub Copilot** Key features, practical examples, and an overview of agent-driven development. **19:00 — Hands-on workshops in small groups** Planned workshop options include: * **GitHub Copilot App Workshop:** explore agent-driven development, from picking up issues and running agents to reviewing changes and merging pull requests. * **Agent Lab — Java:** build a Social Bingo application with Java and Spring Boot using GitHub Copilot’s Agent Mode in VS Code. * **App Modernization:** use GitHub Copilot to modernise a legacy Java application, including upgrading from Java 8 to 21, adding health endpoints, and containerising the application. **20:00 — Networking, food & drinks** **Before the meetup:** Please bring your laptop to the workshop.
