About

Goose Boy Matti A modern fairy tale about courage, friendship and the fight against injustice – for children aged 8 and up, teenagers, adults and families. Premiere: 17 November 2026, 19:00 With „Goose Boy Matti“, KaLaDU Theater brings a modern retelling of the classic Hungarian narrative poem by Mihály Fazekas to the stage. Matti is a sensitive teenager who finds his support in his geese between school, bullying and a difficult everyday life. When he stands up to the overbearing Daniel Tröter and his injustices, an extraordinary path begins for him. Together with his talking geese, Matti confronts abuse of power, corruption and social injustice. In doing so, he discovers that courage, wisdom, solidarity and cohesion can be stronger than oppression and violence. A fanciful and humorous stage world is created with acting, music, dance, movement and video projections. The talking geese provide wit, lightness and poetic moments. „Goose Boy Matti“ is an entertaining and moving story for the whole family – and at the same time an invitation to think about civil courage, justice and the courage to stand up for others.
