Modelling active fluid-structure interaction in the microscale through Lagrangian mechanics Speaker : Pablo Zurita Soler Abstract: When observing biological fluids, it is common to find flows that arise as a direct result of the motion of solids in contact with them. Biological and biomedical solids are said to be active when they themselves generate their own motion, typically by creating stress via internal mechanisms.
