About

QFFM 2026 – 11th Queer Film Festival Munich For eight days, Munich's cinema screens belong to queer film: QFFM – Queer Film Festival Munich will show international premieres, festival winners from Berlinale and Cannes, short films and classics beyond hetero- and homonormative cinema from 16 to 23 October 2026. Screenings take place at ten venues, from the Kammerspiele and the HFF to Neues Rottmann, Neues Maxim, Arena and Theatiner. The festival has existed since 2015 and is organised on a voluntary basis by the association Queer Culture e.V. The motto of the eleventh edition fits the hissing cat on the poster: films will be shown that get under your skin, scratch, bite and caress. In addition to the feature films, there will be a three-day retrospective on the cinema of cruising, the Naughty Shorts will be in a club for the first time, a Date Night at the cinema and, to finish, the festival party at the Milla. It opens on Friday, 16 October, at 7 pm at the Münchner Kammerspiele with the Brazilian Berlinale winner “Gugu’s World”, with sign-language interpreting and a reception afterwards in the foyer (for the opening).
