Lola Film Festival

Translating into English…

Lola Film Festival is holding its first edition in Kriterion, with a queer and feminist program made by FLINTA filmmakers. The festival presents freshly released short films in a range of formats, from fiction to experimental video. Throughout the program, interludes create space for a conversation between the audience and the filmmakers. Lola grew out of a simple observation: there is a gap between student films and bigger productions, and filmmakers at the beginning of their careers often fall right into it. Lola is meant to give them visibility and let you hear the voices that will make the cinema of tomorrow. Moederkoek | Sterre Rutten | Netherlands | 2026 | 8' Moederkoek revolves around.
