About

Funkhaus, an immersive sound system and a DJ with one of the best African record collections?

Did we spark your interest? After being a bit silent over summer we are back with a boom.

Rumors are true. On 6th of November we gather again to enjoy a shared night full of mesmerizing moments, heartfelt connections and heaps of good music.
We are more than happy to announce that Lisbon based @mamademba_djset will share his dance floor heat with Vienna for the first time. Yeah, we’re pretty stoked too. Mama Demba (River Ramos) is a true archaeologist of Lusophone music. He feels most at home among the records, preferably controlling a sweaty and inclusive dance floor. He is an excellent groove cook, bringing together sounds from Cape Verde, Angola, Guinea Bissau, São Tomé and Principe and the West Indies in a huge pot. The party is guaranteed! Mama Demba breathes music, a Cape Verdean based in Lisbon, he owns one of the best record collections of African music, co-founder of Tabanka Records, member of the Badju D Terra Sound System Collective and the Mindel Reggae Family. Considered one of the best Kept Secret DJs in Lisbon and the Portuguese-speaking world, he has already set the dance floors alight at various venues and festivals across the country, such as Boom Festival, Village Underground Lisboa, Music Box, B.Leza, HIM Dub Festival and others. It's time to reveal this secret to the world and bring Mama Demba's research and talent to all music lovers. Let’s use the dance floor to move closer together Early bird presale starts now, better be quick!
