About
Bergson Schaulager x Jan Kuck With an opening on 7 November, the Schaulager starts at Bergson, a new place for art between storage and exhibition, as it describes itself. It begins with a selection of works by conceptual artist Jan Kuck, including the neon works “Na Bravo” and “Burn”. Born in Hanover in 1978, Kuck studied law, philosophy and history and works with language, light and space: in neon, laser and spatial installations. Since his first gallery exhibition in 2012, his works have been shown, among other places, at the Kunsthalle München, during the Venice Architecture Biennale, at the New Town Hall and in Bellevue Palace. In 2020, he installed “The Burning River”, a laser installation more than 200 meters long along the Isar; its question “What are you burning for?” is taken up again in the work “Burn”. The works on display are for sale. The opening takes place in the gallery on level 4, from 6 to 10 p.m. Admission is free, but registration via the ticket shop is required. After the opening, the Schaulager is accessible only by appointment (gallery@bergson.com).
