Title Ideal MHD below the classical well-posedness threshold Abstract We discuss local well-posedness in $H^s$ of solutions for the ideal incompressible magnetohydrodynamics system posed on $[0,T]\times\mathbb{R}^d$. Building on a recent result, we show how the wave-null structure induced by a non-vanishing (constant) initial magnetic field can be leveraged to improve the classical Lisphitz threshold $s>d/2+1$ to $s>(d+1)/2$ for the velocity initial data.
