King’s Building Courtyard

Königsbauhof refers to the courtyards of the Munich Residence, the former royal palace, which include ten historic inner courtyards such as the Fountain Courtyard and Imperial Courtyard. These courtyards, built and reshaped over centuries from the 16th to 19th century, once served as reception areas, carriage entrances and settings for court tournaments and ceremonies.
