Working with imagination rooted in connection with the space, the sound and human and non-human presences in the room. Vivos works as a dancer, facilitator and community organizer in Vienna centering anti-discriminatory practises and QTBIPoC perspectives. Vienna-based Iranian oud player, vocalist, composer, and improviser Avin Ahmadi was born in 2004 in Tehran and has been active across the European and international music scene since 2023. With a strong foundation in Persian traditional music, Avin has shaped her own relationship with the oud rather than following established expectations. Growing up with an instrument that is often underestimated and narrowly defined, she challenges its inherited limitations and explores paths that had not been taken before.
