Kádár Étkezde is a long-running, unpretentious Budapest eatery open since 1957, famous for its legendary sólet (bean stew) and homemade raspberry syrup soda, and once a regular haunt for writers, boxers and footballers alike. Seating is by chair, not by table, so guests often end up sharing a table with strangers who become familiar faces.
