This museum in central Prague recreates the atmosphere of communist-era Czechoslovakia across nearly 1500 square meters, with reconstructed rooms such as a workshop, a classroom, a children's room and an interrogation room. Some 62 panels with original photographs, videos and artifacts trace the story from the founding of Czechoslovakia through propaganda and political trials to the Velvet Revolution, and a small cinema screens a related documentary.
