Imperial Courtyard

Kaiserhof is one of the main courtyards of Munich's Residenz, built between 1612 and 1616 under Maximilian I. It housed the grand entrance and reception rooms along with the monumental Kaisertreppe, and was historically opened only for high-ranking ceremonial visits.
