Apothecary Courtyard

Apothekenhof is a courtyard of Munich's Residenz that grew out of a former kitchen courtyard east of the Kaiserhof. From 1832 architect Leo von Klenze added new wings here, including the Hofapotheke where scientist Max von Pettenkofer once worked, giving the courtyard its name.
