Part of the National Museum in Kraków, this museum is currently showing an exhibition on medieval Islamic coinage, displaying several hundred carefully selected coins illustrating the history of the Arab world from the 7th to the mid-13th century. Visitors can see Byzantine and Sasanian coins, transitional bilingual issues, and gold, silver and copper coins from the Umayyad and Abbasid dynasties, including pieces from the 'Golden Age' of Harun ar-Rashid.
