Museum Treptow, housed in the old town hall of Johannisthal since 1991, grew out of a local history collection and a 1989 cross-German cultural project. Its permanent exhibition traces 250 years of Treptow's history, from early settlement through industrial development to the area's excursion inns and nearby airfield, alongside temporary exhibitions such as one examining the 1896 colonial exhibition held in Treptower Park.
