Greg Shapiro - King Me - 250 Jahre Donald Trump

Wird ins Deutsche übersetzt…

It is 2026. And so there is something to celebrate. You would think. 250 years of independence for the United States. A quarter of a millennium free from the English king. And what do they have there now? A king again, after all. High time, then, for a new revolution. At least, that is what Greg Shapiro thinks. The Dutch-American comedian and Trump impersonator (‘The Netherlands Second!’) predicts that the Trump tyranny will not last much longer in a majestic mix of stand-up and storytelling at De Kleine Komedie. King Me Mark Rutte calls Trump ‘Daddy,’ but Ursula says: ‘Mama is angry.’ King Me is a majestic mix of stand-up and storytelling, ‘extraordinarily funny’ and a ‘sharp satire on Trump’s America.’ (Theaterkrant) Shapiro is a member of Boom Chicago and wonders (in English) out loud whether he will ever be allowed back into his native country after this show. What do you think?
