SAFADA: Nature Hacks Technology

Wird ins Deutsche übersetzt…

Nature continues to respond to technology violence, through its own visceral language. Who doesn’t understand storms, floods, droughts, lightning and shifting temperatures? This night, we invite you to listen. Bringing together TRIBE, NYMITY, GADUTRA, GAZELLOTA, JAYJAY REVLON at ORMSIDE Projects, this collaborative gathering explores the sounds of revolution, the anger of nature, the violence of technology and the hope that we create for ourselves. Through archival recordings, overlooked sounds and their collision with contemporary music, performance art, DJ sets and Visual art, we bring these languages into the space. Exploring nature’s capacity to disrupt, resist and exceed the technologies and structures imposed upon it. Tracing movements across England, Brazil, Nigeria, France and beyond, the gathering considers how ecofascism, technological violence and resistance travel across geographies, histories and bodies. Moving between sound, movement and visuals, we ask what it means to listen to nature not simply as a resource to be extracted, but as a force with its own intelligence, agency and magnetism.
