Every Wednesday and Sunday, Extremos opens the floor at Cafe de Kroon on Rembrandtplein. Half salsa, half bachata, from nine until midnight, and you walk in without a ticket. This is the longest-running social in the Netherlands. Nothing to sign up for, and you do not need to bring anyone. Latin Nights get on the floor and dance Latin Nights has been running for years at Cafe de Kroon, the room with the chandeliers above Rembrandtplein. Extremos runs the night: first the classes, then the floor opens and it keeps going until midnight. The music is half salsa, half bachata, played by a DJ. There is nothing to sign up for and you do not need to bring a partner: people switch all evening, so you dance with a lot of different people. Beginners are as welcome as dancers who have been at it for years. The night does not run every week; extremos.nl lists which evenings are on and who is playing.
