MAGMA x AfgActivistCollective

The lava is rising again... Solidarity Night 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐌𝐀 x 𝐀𝐅𝐆𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 MAGMA is an event series erupting from Berlin’s underground, built to shine a light on every corner of the bass spectrum. We invite selectors to flex their own definition of bass music, creating a space to feel the full weight and variety of the sub-frequencies. From drum and bass and jungle to electro, grime and dubstep, through polyrhythmic and experimental sounds and global rhythms. Expect the rawest cuts in the city’s most intimate venues. On the 6th of November, MAGMA joins forces with the 𝐀𝐟𝐠𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 for a night of solidarity. We’re raising funds to support the family of an AfghanActivistCollective comrade, who have finally been relocated to a safe zone. It took years, and it has been extremely costly: flights, visas, lawyer fees, and long stretches in limbo. Join us in taking collective responsibility for border injustice. The evening opens with a discussion on “Colonialism & Displacement: Afghanistan, Pakistan, Balochistan,” followed by a performance (tbc), and then the DJs take over the dancefloor. An Afghan-inspired community kitchen will keep everyone energized, and we’ll have a special drink menu for the occasion. We’re happy to be welcomed by 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝟏, our cozy home for the night. There will also be a little chillout area outside the venue if you need a rest. Head over to MAGMA on Instagram, where we’ll introduce each artist playing on the night. Much Love MAGMA *if money is a barrier, we have a small number of community tickets available. Write to us at 𝟎𝟑𝟎.𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐦𝐚@𝐠𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐥.𝐜𝐨𝐦 and we’ll sort it out together :) ၊၊||၊|။||||။‌‌‌‌‌၊| d[-_-]b ၊၊||၊|။||||။‌‌‌‌‌၊| Line-up: Tempestfeather, Sauvage Genres: Bass, Broken Beat
