Polychrome x Doka Studio – Willow (UK) und Lennie

Wird ins Deutsche übersetzt…

It’s time to return to our club caves. For their first expedition of the autumn, they’ve invited two artists to Doka we’d love to see more often in Amsterdam. First up: Workshop’s very own Willow. For well over a decade, she’s been tracing the twilight zone between house, dub and broken beat. Her frayed basslines and slow-unfolding melodies have taken her from early support from Move D to stages at Waking Life, De School and Nachtdigital. She’s been on our wishlist for a while, and we can’t wait to sink into four hours of moody, warm grooves and off-centre curveballs, drawn from across the decades. Lennie opens the night. Deeply involved in dance music and its nightlife for years, he’s kept an extensive record collection in constant motion. Offering glimpses of it on special occasions, he glues together the warm je-ne-sais-quoi he finds in jazz, hiphop, dub and funk, and channels it into the red line that fuels his groove-driven sets, leaning on the warmer shades of dub, minimal techno and house, where groove sets the tone and hips and heads follow the pace. We are looking forward sharing this special night with you Line-up: Willow, Lennie Genres: House, Minimal
