Maybe you’ve been curious about the effects of cold-water immersion for a while, or perhaps you’re already an experienced ice dipper… Either way, you’re very welcome to join us for a regular cold-water plunge in the Vltava! Cold-water immersion has some very interesting effects on both the body and the mind. It stimulates the cardiovascular system and circulation, activates brown fat or influences metabolism. It also helps with stress regulation, improves mood and builds mental resilience. That’s plenty of reasons to make this your new weekly routine! 😎 But this is about more than just cold water! It’s also a social gathering for people who enjoy an active lifestyle, personal growth and connecting with like-minded people. You can expect a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere, good conversations and a shared adventure! **Practical information** We meet every Saturday at 11:00 in front of the main entrance of the HAMR Sport Braník facility. We’ll get changed, head down to the river together, do some gentle warm-up exercises and then take the plunge! Afterwards, we can warm up, enjoy a brunch and have a chat at the HAMR Sport restaurant while enjoying that amazing feeling that comes after a refreshing cold dip. **What to bring:** * Swimwear and a towel. * Flip-flops or water shoes for easier access to the river. * Warm clothes to put on after the dip, ideally a warm jacket or coat and perhaps a long sweater. * Warm socks and shoes for afterwards. * A plastic bag or something waterproof to sit on might be also useful. Come as you are, bring your curiosity and let’s embrace the cold together! 🥶🤗
