UK Jazz-Rock Masters "One of the more influential bands of their era, and certainly one of the most influential underground ones" AllMusicFounded in Canterbury in mid-1966 by Robert Wyatt, Kevin Ayers, David Allen, Mike Ratledge, and Larry Nowlin the band released mammoth tracks like 'Hazard Profile', 'A Certain Kind' and 'Joy Of A Toy'.Part of the first radical cohort of British psychedelic groups, and a staple of the Canterbury scene before branching out into progressive rock and jazz fusion, the band’s ability to bring various sounds together pushed them into new musical forms of innovation.
