Reichstag dome

The glass dome atop Berlin's Reichstag building, designed by Sir Norman Foster and completed around 1999, is open to visitors via spiral ramps leading to an observation platform 40 metres high with sweeping views over Berlin. Inside, a mirrored funnel directs daylight down into the parliamentary chamber below, and a restaurant sits at the base of the dome.
