Friday, 16 October Crack Bellmer, Revaler Straße 99, 10245 Berlin (RAW-Gelände) Film screenings from 19:00. Seele live from 21:30, DJs from 22:30 until 6am. @causeandeffect.bln is a rotating fundraiser party collective from Berlin. We work with artists and creatives, and the proceeds of each night go to a cause we choose together. This time it’s the Regenbogenfabrik in Kreuzberg (@rbf_xberg) For over 40 years the Regenbogenfabrik has been a children’s, culture and neighbourhood centre on Lausitzer Straße, with a café, a canteen, a bike workshop, a woodshop, a hostel and a daycare. Rising costs and cut funding have left it in serious financial trouble, and it needs support to get through the coming months. This edition is about that kind of place. We’re looking at third spaces, the places outside home and work where people find each other and make room for themselves, with a focus on migrant communities. Together with @totale_filmmagazin and @achtungberlin filmfestival, we open the night at 19:00 with three films: Über Heimkehr und Fremde by Laura Russ Variations on How to Farm a City by Mónica Martins Nunes Denkst du auch, was ich denk, Couseng by Lotta Becker All films are shown with English subtitles. After the screening there’s a panel discussion with the Regenbogenfabrik and the filmmakers. @seele.seele.seele opens the dancefloor with live music at 21:30. After her, we asked our DJs to play music from their home countries. Expect Latin, house, disco and bounce until 6am. Line-up: ULY99, LINNÉA Genres: House, Disco
